Here are some of the exciting new programs we are working on for the 2011 Summer Season:
Paddle and Pedal Day Trip:
Elakah Expeditions’ “Paddle and Pedal” day trips are a good intro to
the region: The morning kicks off with an hour-long kayaking trip along
the sandstone cliffs of the Salish Sea (watch for river otters, seals,
and eagles). Then, it’s a brief stop at Chuckanut Island to see native
Salish archaeological sites. From there, you’ll paddle to Larrabee State
Park for lunch followed by an afternoon bike trip on the fern- and

"San Juander" Day Tours and Overnight Trips
This is your chance to experience something completely new and exciting for the San Juan Islands. This paddle route and destination in unparralleled in the San Juan Islands. Destinations include Lummi, Clarke, Barnes, Matia Islands. We spend our days traveling the wide open and relatively untraveled shorelines of Rosario Straight, which is often frequented by Orca Whales (especially in May and June). The meals are excellent local fare, the views are priceless. Additional day trip opportunities intersperse our paddling and include a wild harvest beach walk, a trip to a local bronze sculpture garden, and an evening jaunt to a local wine tasting room to top the day off.
